Terms of service

Last updated 19 May 2026

These terms govern your use of FRASafe. By using the service you agree to them. They’re written to be readable; please get in touch if anything is unclear.

1Who we are

FRASafe is operated by Safe Compliance Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as FRASafe. These terms govern your use of www.frasafe.co.uk and the FRASafe service. By registering or using FRASafe you agree to these terms.

Contact us at hello@frasafe.co.uk.

2What FRASafe is — and isn't

FRASafe is a structured self-assessment tool that guides you through a fire risk assessment built around recognised standards (such as BS 9792:2025 and the RRO 2005) and produces a written report you can download.

FRASafe is a tool, not a professional assessor. The report reflects the information you provide. It does not constitute professional fire-safety advice, and for complex or higher-risk premises it is not a substitute for a competent professional assessor. You remain the responsible person under the Fire Safety Order 2005.

3Eligibility — competent persons only

The RRO 2005 requires that fire risk assessments be carried out by a “competent person” — someone with sufficient training, experience, knowledge, and other qualities appropriate to the nature of the work. By using FRASafe you confirm that you are, or are acting under the supervision of, a competent person for the type of premises being assessed.

FRASafe is intended for use with Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), holiday lets, and similar premises. It is not designed for complex high-rise buildings, care homes, hospitals, or other premises requiring specialist assessment.

4Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@frasafe.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You may only create one account per person or organisation.

5Pricing & payment

Completing a fire risk assessment on FRASafe is free. A one-off payment of £45 is required to generate and download your finished PDF report. We’ll always show the price before you pay.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. All prices are in GBP.

6Refund policy & right to cancel

Because a downloaded report is a digital product delivered immediately, it is generally non-refundable once downloaded. That said, we want you to be happy — if something has genuinely gone wrong with your report, email us and we’ll put it right. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital content purchase. By proceeding to payment and requesting immediate generation of your PDF, you expressly consent to waive this right — as permitted by Regulation 37.

7Data retention

Assessment records (including your questionnaire answers, declarations, and PDF report) are retained for 7 years from the date of the assessment. This is consistent with fire safety record-keeping obligations and GDPR Article 5(1)(e). This retention period cannot be shortened at your request during those 7 years.

8Acceptable use

You must not use FRASafe to:

  • Produce assessments for properties you have not physically inspected.
  • Produce false, misleading, or fabricated fire risk assessments.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute assessment reports you did not produce.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the service.
  • Use the service in any way that breaches applicable law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without refund.

9Intellectual property

The FRASafe platform, including its software, questionnaire content, and design, is our intellectual property. The fire risk assessment report generated from your answers is yours — you own it and may use it for any lawful purpose. Please don’t copy, resell, or redistribute the platform or its templates.

10Limitation of liability

We provide FRASafe with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for outcomes that depend on the accuracy of the information you enter, on your acting (or not acting) on the findings, or on decisions made by third parties such as councils, fire authorities, or insurers.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11Service availability

We aim to keep FRASafe available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or experience downtime outside our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by unavailability of the service.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the service. Continued use of FRASafe after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
